Batoka Sky Helicopters Ltd operates three (3) helicopters:

EUROCOPTER SQUIRREL AS350 BA (9J-JIM)
The Eurocopter Squirrel AS350 BA with its powerful 640 hp power plant has the seating capacity of the pilot plus Six (6) passengers.
Restrictions: None

BELL 206 III JET RANGER (9J-JOC)
The Bell 206 III Jet Ranger is one the most popular helicopters in the world. With a seating capacity of the pilot plus four (4) passengers.
Restrictions: None

ROBINSON R 44 RAVIN II (9J-JIL)
The Robinson R44 Ravin II has a seating capacity of the pilot plus three (3) passengers that allows all the occupants a window seat.

Restrictions: Due to manufacturing restrictions the Robinson R44 Ravin helicopter is not allowed to operate in ambient temperatures of 105°F (41°C). These temperatures are normally reached during the month of October.

FLIGHTS
Due to the close proximity of Maramba Aerodrome to the

Zambezi River

, the aircraft are over the river within 30 seconds after take off.

SHORT FLIGHT
After take off over the Zambezi River and onwards to the

Victoria Falls

circle over the Falls and the islands and return to Maramba Aerodrome over the Mosi - oa - Tunya Zoological Park.

LONG FLIGHT
Take off from Maramba Airfield to the Victoria Falls, after viewing the Falls, an exhilarating flight over the local villages to the Batoka Gorge, along the Zambezi River to Rapid 26. Circle over the Victoria Falls and the islands and return to Maramba Aerodrome over the Mosi -oa - Tunya Zoological Park.

GORGE LIFT
After Rafting, Jet boat ride or the Gongola, the best way to return to

We have mounted cameras in the cockpit and on the helicopter that enable us to capture your flight experience over the Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge. A DVD is then made which can be purchased after the flight.

BATOKA SKY LTD LANDING PADS
Batoka Sky Ltd. is the only helicopter company in the region that has the right to operate helicopter lift-outs from it's own helicopter landing pads at Songwe Beach (Rapid no 10), Bobo Camp (Rapid no 21), and from the Jet Extreme pad (Rapid no 25).

RAPID 10: SONGWE BEACH
This is ideal for a helicopter lift out after a rafting trip.

RAPID 21: BOBO CAMP
This is ideal for a helicopter lift out after a rafting trip. This is where we offer the gorge picnic on a beautiful white beach on the Zambezi River.

RAPID 25: JET EXTREME
This is ideal for a helicopter lift out after the Jet Extreme boat experience.

MARAMBA AERODROME
This is at Batoka Land where the scenic flights take off.

SUN INTERNATIONAL HELIPAD
The helicopter pad at Sun International is for emergency use only and is in a special rules flying area. Permission to land on this helipad can be obtained in exceptional circumstances from the aviation authority. Application to use the helipad must be done in writing 14 days in advance. Batoka Sky will facilitate the process of obtaining permission to use the helipad.

NOTE: Special permission and air force clearance is required to land at the following site. This application must be processed 48 hours in advance.

An exhilarating jet boat ride from rapid no 25, followed by an awesome trip in the helicopter along the bottom of the Batoka Gorge, also taking in the views of Victoria Falls

RAFTING/JET BOAT/HELICOPTER
This is an awesome combination for a full day of adrenalin. Gorge lift after the jet boating from rapid no 25.

PICNICS AT FAR-AWAY PLACES
At rapid no 21 (Bobo Camp) we have sited a beautiful spot with absolutely stunning views of the river and the gorges, where we fly you in by helicopter, provide you with a first class lunch and waiter then we can bring you back to reality by helicopter flight out. Minimum of 6 clients and maximum of 24 clients can be accommodated.
