WATER TAXI
For our clients that are resident at Sun International's,
The Falls
Resort, the Water Taxi provides the ultimate introduction to the Victoria Falls. Clients are dropped off at the Royal Landing jetty by their transfer operator; they are then whisked away on the boat on a thrilling 10 minute ride to the Royal
Livingstone
Sun Deck where they are met by the hotel's check in staff. There is no better way to introduce clients to the mighty
Zambezi
. The average turn around time for bigger groups that can be used for planning purposes is 22 minutes per boat, from The Royal Landing to The Royal Livingstone Hotel at The Falls Resort and back to the point of departure.
LOW WATER ROUTE
Due to low water levels before the rainy season, it becomes necessary to alter the route due to the danger to navigate certain of the rapids in the area below Princess Island.
Traditionally the following will apply:
- LOW WATER ROUTE
The route will be the same as the traditional high water route with the exception that the boats will turn before the rapids (the rapids are in the area of the "high water mark on the eastern river bank", back to the Royal Landing and the clients will be transferred back to their hotels/lodges by road.
Will not operate during this period.
From 1st October - 15th February, unless higher river levels allow the rapids to be navigated in which case all clients will be notified.
